I’ve seen so many skin care routines online, but most of them were complex and used way too many chemicals. When I was creating my own personalized skin care routine, I tried to use the least amount of chemicals and keep it simple. If you are creating your own skin care routine, you can refer to my post on “Creating Your Skin Care Routine”.
Morning Skin Care Routine
Starting off my morning skin care routine, I cleanse my face with CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser. Since I have dry skin, I don’t use a foam cleanser and I prefer a gentle cleanser with moisturizer. Foam cleansers are too rough on dry skin but work well on oily skin. Try getting a cleanser with less fragrence. If the cleanser has an artifical fragreance, it’ll contain way more unnessessary chemicals.
Next, I use organic rose water as my toner. Pure rose water is natural and doesn’t contain rash chemicals. It reduces under eye puffiness, hydrates the skin, and clears the pores. ALL NATURALLY! Throughout my whole skin care process, I love this product the most because of how effective and natural it is.
I use to have really bad dark circles and tried many natural remedies to get rid of them. They all worked, but were too time consuming to do on a daily basis. That’s why I use this under eye cream that helps soften my under eyes and lighten it. After 2 weeks of using this cream I noticed changes, the skin under my eyes were lightened. I do still use home remedies, but not everyday. The product I use is a little expensive, but the quantity provided definetly can be used for a long time.
After using my eye cream, I use CeraVe moisturizing cream. This moisturizer creates a barrier around the skin that traps the moister inside and stops the environmental damage from effecting your skin. Like I said before, I have really dry and sensitive skin so mosturizing helps SO much with the overall texture of my skin.
Then I use sunscreen. This is by far the most important step of my morning routine. Many people don’t like putting on sunscreen or don’t think it’s important. Whenever you go out, the sun’s light is very harsh on your skin. It will darken acne or cause sunburn. Trust me, this is VERY important.
The last step of my morning routine is vaseline. This step is pretty self explanatory because vaseline prevents chapped lips.
Since I try and keep my skin care routine simple, all I do differently in the night is that I use a lip scrub after using my facial cleanser. I don’t use sunscreen because there’s no point of wearing sunscreen before you go to sleep.
